MAX30102 Heart-Rate/Oximeter Sensor
Optical heart-rate and blood-oxygen sensor module using the MAX30102 over I2C, for wearables and health-monitoring prototypes, not medical use.
The MAX30102 integrates red and infrared LEDs, a photodetector and a low-noise signal chain in one package, measuring pulse and blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2) from light reflected through a fingertip or wrist. It communicates over I2C, includes an on-chip FIFO for buffering samples and an interrupt pin, and is supported by widely used Arduino and ESP32 libraries. The sensor core runs at 1.8 V with the LEDs on a separate supply, and breakout boards carry the regulators needed, but check your board's I2C logic level before connecting it to a 5 V microcontroller. It is intended for learning, wearables and prototypes and is not a certified medical device.
