Mini AMS1117-3.3 3.3V Voltage Regulator Module

This small breakout carries an AMS1117-3.3 low-dropout linear regulator with input and output filter capacitors, giving a fixed 3.3 V output from a higher DC input. It needs roughly 1.1–1.3 V of headroom, so a 4.5–12 V input works well, and it can supply up to about 800 mA when the voltage difference and cooling allow. Because it is linear, the excess voltage is dropped as heat, so lower input voltages run cooler and more efficiently. It is commonly used to power ESP8266/ESP32 boards, nRF24L01 radios, SD cards and other 3.3 V devices from a 5 V rail.
