Breakout board that converts 20-pin SOP, SSOP and TSSOP surface-mount chips to a breadboard-friendly 2.54 mm DIP layout.
This adapter brings every pad of a 20-pin surface-mount IC out to a standard 2.54 mm (0.1") DIP footprint, so SMD-only chips can be used on breadboards, stripboard and DIP sockets. One side is laid out for SOP20 chips with 1.27 mm pitch and the other for SSOP20/TSSOP20 chips with 0.65 mm pitch. Solder the chip to the matching side, fit pin headers along both edges, and the board behaves like a DIP20 part. It suits prototyping with microcontrollers, buffers, latches, line drivers and other 20-pin SMD parts.
