USB to RS485 Serial Converter
USB to RS485 adapter that connects a computer to Modbus RTU devices, industrial sensors, PLCs and long-distance serial networks.
The adapter appears as a virtual COM port on the computer and converts USB to a half-duplex RS485 bus on its A and B terminals, and most units switch between transmit and receive automatically. RS485 uses differential signalling, so it carries data reliably over long twisted-pair runs and connects multiple devices on one bus. It works with Modbus tools, SCADA software, Python and serial terminal programs for reading energy meters, VFDs, temperature controllers and PLCs. Install the driver for the adapter's USB-serial chip if your operating system does not recognise it automatically.
